This is how much insulin I’ve used in the past month.
600 units of slow releasing.
1,300 units of fast acting.
1,900 in total, or thereabouts.

To some people, this might seem like a lot of insulin.
To some people, this might not seem like a lot.

However, this is what my body needs & that, is totally fine.

A few weeks back I saw a post from @thediabetictherapist regarding how we should normalise insulin & I couldn’t agree more with the post that I’m referring too.

I then decided to post a little question box on my story asking “how many units did you last inject?” & the results varied a lot.
Some people had injected 90 units, whilst others had injected 1 unit.

& that’s my point.
We’re all different.
Our needs are different.
Our management is different.

& you should never feel ashamed or embarrassed of how much insulin you need to keep your body healthy & your blood glucose levels where you want them.

We all need different amounts of insulin & there’s no right or wrong amount that you should be injecting.

Stop comparing your insulin needs to others.
